The  characters in “The Things They Carried” carry object with them, both  personal objects and their military objects.  Make two lists for each  character in the text, identifying what each character carried.  One  list will identify the TANGIBLE things carried (literally) by each  character; the other list identifies the INTANGIBLE (metaphorical,  emotional) things carried by each character.
