Your essay should include a summary of the article you are responding to (“they say”), but the bulk of your essay should be your own ideas (“I say”). Do not use any additional outside sources to help you write this essay.
Your essay should be 3-4 pages long and follow the guidelines for MLA manuscript format. Include at least one quotation from the text you are responding to, and include a works cited page documenting source you quote, summarize, or paraphrase in your essay. Your works cited page does not count towards the 3-4 page requirement.
